Lest We Forget After 10 years of research the Wartime Heritage Association has curated a list of over three thousand WWII casualties born in Nova Scotia, or with ties to Nova Scotia. Our goal was to create a list, to remember each and every Nova Scotia lost in the Second World War. As Canadians, we owe them all, but we don’t necessarily know them all. Thanks to sources available today, we have discovered Nova Scotians whose names are not listed on community war memorials. There are also almost 130 discovered to date, who were born in Nova Scotia, but enlisted and served with the US Armed Forces. Others, served with the Australian Army, Free Belgian Forces, the British Army, the Royal Navy, the RAF, the Indian Army, the New Zealand Army and other Allies forces.
