   William Peter Titus   Service Number: 536314 Regiment:   Canadian Army Medical Corps/9th and 3rd Field Ambulance Rank: Private Date of Birth: January 23, 1899 (Attestation gives his birth as 1898) Place of Birth: Yarmouth, NS Date of Enlistment: September 7, 1916 Place of Enlistment: St John, NB Age at Enlistment: 18 (actual age 17)   Address at Enlistment: Yarmouth, NS Trade: Labourer Religion: Roman Catholic Next of Kin: Mrs. Emma Titus (Wife) Yarmouth, NS Date of Death:  July 13, 1919 at Quebec, Province of Quebec Cemetery:   Grave Reference:     William was the son of Peter and Elizabeth (Muise) Titus of Yarmouth.  He married Emma Doucette on October 11, 1915 at Yarmouth.   He was the father of Thomas Richard Titus (1915–1976).  He served with the 3rd and 9th Field Ambulance Corps and was gassed at Ypres.  He was medically discharged at Quebec City in July, 1919.
