Arthur was the son of Fenwick Lamarchant Dunn (1853-1939) and Geneve Jane (Wade) Dunn (1856-1943),
and the brother of William Howard G. Dunn (1877-1900), Clarissa Dunn (b. 1878), Lemerchant Wade Dunn
(1882-1964), Adelbert Perrin Dunn (1885–1964), Madge T Dunn (1889-1984), Alfred Dunn (1891–1901),
Clarence Dunn (1893-1895), and Fenwick Hiram Dunn Sr. (1898-1980).
Two of his brothers served during the First World War with Canadian Expeditionary Forces in Canada,
England, and France. Adelbert Dunn served with the 1st Siege Battery, Royal Canadian Artillery, and Fenwick
Hiram Dunn served with the 64th Battalion, the 40th Battalion, and the Seaforth Highlanders.
Arthur was the husband of Louise Alberta (Longthorne) Dunn (1900-1995), and father of William Lawson
Dunn (1916-2010), Violet Mae Dunn (1920-2015), Doris Louise Dunn (1922-2022), Joyce Dunn (1923-2019),
Addie Augusta Dunn 1925-2020), Edith Dunn (1928-1994), and Alice Kathleen Dunn (1930-2011).
He served 10 weeks with the Royal Canadian Garrison Artillery prior to enlistment. Upon enlistment, it was
determined he was unfit for overseas service but was assigned to the Royal Canadian Artillery.
He married Louisa on July 12, 1919, shortly after being discharged in May 1919. In 1935 he was employed as
a Seaman.
Arthur died at the age of 79 on March 28, 1966, and is interred at the Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Argyle,
Yarmouth Co., NS.
