Grant Aaron Lockhart served for three years with the 55th Battalion and the
Royal Canadian Regiment in France. He was wounded in action with severe gunshots
to the neck and invalided home to Canada. Following his recovery he re-enlisted at the
age of 22 on April 24, 1918 at Aldershot, Nova Scotia.
During WWII he enlisted and served in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. Following the end
of WWII he also served with the Yarmouth Police force.
