The Information on these Korean Veterans was provided by Dianne Jacquard of Comeau’s Hill, Yarmouth Co., from her research on WWI, WWII, and the Korean War. “I never thought that a walk in the St. Gabriel’s Cemetery in Comeau’s Hill on November 11th, 2015 would lead me on a two year journey. At that time, I just walked around the cemetery and marveled at how many little Canadian flags were present and blowing in the wind. I took pictures that day and promised myself that I would “get to know” these veterans. I never anticipated the number of men and women from Little River Harbour and Comeau’s Hill that served in the Armed Forces between 1914 and 1953 … Time has a way of erasing memories and many of the fighting men came back from war and never wanted to share their stories.
