  Those Who Served
  With Connection to
Comeau’s Hill and Little River Harbour

The Information on these Korean Veterans was provided by Dianne Jacquard of
Comeau’s Hill, Yarmouth Co., from her research on WWI, WWII, and the Korean War.
“I never thought that a walk in the St. Gabriel’s Cemetery in Comeau’s Hill on
November 11th, 2015 would lead me on a two year journey. At that time, I just walked
around the cemetery and marveled at how many little Canadian flags were present and
blowing in the wind. I took pictures that day and promised myself that I would “get to
know” these veterans. I never anticipated the number of men and women from Little River
Harbour and Comeau’s Hill that served in the Armed Forces between 1914 and 1953 …
Time has a way of erasing memories and many of the fighting men came back from
war and never wanted to share their stories. I was interested in finding out who these men
and women were at the time when these pictures were taken.”
