Lance Corporal Campbell died of natural causes at Kingston, Ontario. A Veteran of World War I, he served as Lieutenant with the 6 Battalion, Canadian Garrison Regiment. He served in England between October 16, 1918 and December 14, 1918. Enlisting for service with the Veterans Guard of Canada (WWII) at Sydney, NS on February 12, 1942, he was stationed at St. Helen’s Island, Montreal and at No. 32 Internment Camp, Hull, Quebec from October 7, 1942, until his death.
