Garrioch, of Toronto, Ontario and the husband of Edith Garrioch, of Halifax, Nova Scotia. He was married in Halifax on September 3, 1942. He joined the Navy in 1940 and served on the HMCS Assiniboine between November 24, 1942 and April 30, 1944. He was on HMCS Valleyfield for passage only on May 1, 1944. He was missing and presumed dead when the ship was torpedoed and sunk by enemy action in the Atlantic on May 7, 1944.
