Stirling Cashman Mason was the son of James Edgar and Myrtle Victoria Mason (nee Beaver), of Tangier,
Nova Scotia. Husband to Julia Louise (Dickinson) Mason and father of Cashman Roger Stirling Mason.
Lieutenant Mason died when his ship, HMCS Valleyfield was torpedoed and sunk on May 7, 1944, by U-
