E. 14 Commemorated on page 413 of the Second World War Book of Remembrance Displayed in the Memorial Chamber of the Peace Tower in Ottawa on September 3 Corporal Peach was the son of Robie Peach, step-son of Harry MacLeod and Myrtle Bell [Whynot] Peach-MacLeod of Liverpool, Queens Co., NS. His mother died on March 18, 1944. Prior to his enlistment he was employed for eight years as a Stevedore with Mersey Paper Co. in Liverpool. Corporal Peach served in Canada between September 20, 1939 and December 21, 1939; in the United Kingdom between December 22, 1939 and June 15, 1943; and in Italy from June 16, 1943 until his death on March 17, 1944. Corporal Peach died of machine gun wounds received in action against the enemy on March 16, 1944. Initial burial was in the San Vito Cemetery on March 18, 1944 with reburial in the Moro River Canadian War Cemetery on August 8, 1944.
