Son of James Melville Treadwell and Rose Elizabeth Treadwell and the husband of Mary Elizabeth
Treadwell, of Ottawa, Ontario.
Pilot Officer Treadwell joined 113 Squadron at Yarmouth
in January 1943. He died when aircraft Lockheed L-214 Hudson
Mk III with a crew of four crashed into the Bay of Fundy. The
cause of the crash is unknown. All four members of the crew
members were killed. Pilot Officer Treadwell’s body was never
recovered.
