John Nathan Treadwell Pilot Officer J/13747 113 Squadron, Royal Canadian Air Force. April 6, 1917 St John, New Brunswick August 22, 1941 (RCAF, Toronto) February 26, 1943 25 Ottawa Memorial Panel 2. Column 4. Commemorated on page 221 of the Second World War Book of Remembrance Displayed in the Memorial Chamber of the Peace Tower in Ottawa on May 11 Son of James Melville Treadwell and Rose Elizabeth Treadwell and the husband of Mary Elizabeth Treadwell, of Ottawa, Ontario. Pilot Officer Treadwell joined 113 Squadron at Yarmouth in January 1943. He died when aircraft Lockheed L-214 Hudson Mk III with a crew of four crashed into the Bay of Fundy. The cause of the crash is unknown. All four members of the crew members were killed. Pilot Officer Treadwell’s body was never recovered.
