Albert Watson Harrington was the son of Albert Watson Harrington (1905–1986), and Dorothy E. (Pudsey)
Harrington (1907–1995). His father was born in Coldbrook, Kings County, Nova Scotia. His mother was born
in Massachusetts. Albert had four siblings, Robert Harrington (1927–2015), John Edward Harrington
(1927–2011), Ronald C Harrington (1930–1989), and Joan Eleanor Harrington (1935–2012).
Albert was employed by the New York Central Railroad at the Round House in Rensselaer, New York prior to
registering for the US Draft on January 26, 1944, in Rensselaer.
Private First-Class Albert Watson Harrington died June 18, 1945, while serving with Company L of the 304th
Infantry Regiment, 76th Division in the US Army. He died of a non-battle related cause while serving in
Germany.
He is interred at the Fort Greenbush Cemetery in East Greenbush, Rensselaer Co., NY.
