James Linton Robison (Robinson) Z669671 Seaman SS Elijah White; United States Merchant Marines October 3, 1895 Cape John, Pictou Co., NS January 28, 1946 60 Manila American Cemetery and Memorial Plot D Row 5, Grave 40 James Linton "Linty" Robison was the son of Thomas Robison (1844–1916) and Ellen (Murphy) Robison (1853-1932). He was the husband of Sarah (McRae) Robinson (1893–1985). They married in River John, Pictou Co., NS on October 27, 1915 and had seven children between 1916 and 1933. Family members used both ‘Robison’ or ‘Robinson’ as spelling of their last name. Seaman Robison served on the SS Elijah White, a United States Liberty ship. The ship was constructed and launched in 1942. James Robison died on January 28, 1946 in the 249th General Hospital, Manila, Philippines at the age of 60. He is buried in the Manila American Cemetery and Memorial, Philippines.
