  Displayed in the Memorial Chamber of the Peace Tower in Ottawa on March 9
  James Ross Rutherford was the son of James McGregor and Lillie May Rutherford of Halifax, Nova 
  Scotia.
  Corporal Rutherford served for two and half years with the 2nd Battalion, Manchester Regiment of the 
  British Army prior to enlisting in the Canadian Army in London, England. 
  While serving in England, he was killed in a motorcycle accident while on active duty.  The accident 
  occurred on Farnborough Road in Aldershot, England.
