Eric Patrick Boutilier Pilot Officer Service Number: J/88414 Royal Canadian Air Force 432 Squadron Died: May 23, 1944 Age: 22 Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, on March 17, 1922. Pilot Officer Boutilier enlisted on November 10, 1942 and went overseas arriving in the United Kingdom on September 19, 1943. He was assigned to 432 Squadron on February 18, 1944. Halifax aircraft MZ506 of 423 RCAF Squadron with a crew of eight failed to return from an operational attack on Le Mans, France on May 23, 1944. Pilot Officer Boutilier was an air gunner on the flight. The aircraft was shot down during the operation with the loss of all eight crew members. Canadian Virtual War Memorial
