Remembering World War II Royal Canadian Air Force Joseph Brissenden
Joseph Brissenden Sergeant Service Number: R/65055 Royal Canadian Air Force Died: May 15, 1941 Age: 23 Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, on July 25, 1917. Sergeant Brissenden enlisted on June 4, 1940 and went overseas to the United Kingdom on January 14, 1941. He was assigned to Training Wing, No 20 Operational Training Unit at RAF Lossiemouth, on March 15, 1941. On May 15, 1941 Sergeant Brissenden was an observer pupil on Anson I R3437 aircraft with a crew of six, when the aircraft was caught in an electrical storm and crashed three miles south of Baniff, Scotland.
