Commemorated on page 235 of the Second World War Book of Remembrance Displayed every year in the Memorial Chamber of the Peace Tower in Ottawa on May 19 Commemorated on the Yarmouth War Memorial Carl Warren Allen was the son of Vernon Israel and Bessie May Allen, of Pembroke, Yarmouth Co., NS, the husband of Alice May Allen, and father of Carl Vernon Allen and Barbara Alice of Pembroke, Yarmouth Co., NS. He had one sister Beatrice, living in Medford, Mass. US. He served in Canada Between September 7, 1939 and September 10, 1943, in the United Kingdom between September 11, 1943 and February 19, 1944 and in Italy from February 20, 1944 until the time of his death, September 18, 1944.
