He completed basic training as No. 60 Canadian Army Basic Training Center, Yarmouth between July 31, 1941 and October 15, 1941.  He disembarked in the United Kingdom on March 9, 1942. He was killed in action while serving in Italy on May 23, 1943. Date of Death: May 23, 1944 Age at Death: 23 Cemetery: Cassino War Cemetery (Italy) IV. A. 5.
