Harry Muise completed his medical at Yarmouth on March 2, 1916 and was considered fit for the
Canadian overseas Expeditionary Force. He proceed to Aldershot in Nova Scotia with the 219th Battalion
for basic training. On June 28, 1916 while at Aldershot he was given a medical discharge. This may have
been due to his height as the minimum height requirement for military service was 5 feet, 2inches.
