Louis Muise embarked for overseas on the SS Valacia at Halifax arrived in Liverpool England on May
7, 1918. He was assigned to the 85th Battalion at Bramshott, England and proceeded to France on
October 25, 1918. In France he was transferred to the Labour Pool at Etaples because of a vision problem
on November 9, 1918 and returned to England for demobilization at Bramshott on November 23, 1918.
Having returned to Canada he was given a medical discharge (vision) on demobilization at Halifax
May 24, 1919.
His service is remembered on the Tusket War Monument, Tusket, NS
