Muise (Father) Springhaven, Yarmouth Co., NS January 17, 1919 (Halifax) At enlistment with Canadian Expeditionary Force Vincent was an active militiaman on duty. He first enlisted on April 24, 1917 in Halifax, NS with the Royal Canadian Garrison Artillery. Sandwich Point Battery comprised a series of four gun emplacements, constructed during World War I, one kilometre away from the main fort at York Redoubt to protect the approaches to Halifax Harbour.
