October 5, 1926 Sheet Harbor, Nova Scotia October 18, 1944 Halifax, Nova Scotia January 13, 1952 25 St James United Church Cemetery, Sheet Harbour Nova Scotia Commemorated on Page 3 of the Korean War Book of Remembrance Private Harold Arthur Barkhouse was the son of Arthur and Pearl Emma Barkhouse of Sheet Harbour, Nova Scotia. Private Barkhouse died accidentally, the result of asphyxiation from internal smoke from gas and fire, and burns. At the time of his death he was assigned to No.5 Equipment Depot in Moncton, New Brunswick. The accident occurred at the Airmen’s Lounge at the Depot on January 13, 1952.
