Private Harold Arthur Barkhouse was the son of Arthur and Pearl Emma Barkhouse of Sheet Harbour, Nova
Scotia.
Private Barkhouse died accidentally, the result of
asphyxiation from internal smoke from gas and fire, and
burns. At the time of his death he was assigned to No.5
Equipment Depot in Moncton, New Brunswick. The
accident occurred at the Airmen’s Lounge at the Depot
on January 13, 1952.
