Private Laurie, the son of Ella Mary Ross of Denmark, Nova Scotia, enlisted with the special
force being recruited for service in Korea.
He was killed when the taxi in which he and a
number of comrades in training were returning to Camp
Petawawa from Pembroke, collided with another vehicle.
