Gerard Balfour Meynell was the son of Gerald Balfour and Margaret ( Doyle) Meynell of
Lebanon, New Jersey and husband of Maralyn (Burtt) Meynell of Maine, US.
Lieutenant Meynell was killed during the fighting at Hill 187.
