Lieutenant Ross was the son of Thomas Ethridge Ross and Annie Jean Ross, of North East
Margaree, NS. His brother, Douglas MacRae Ross died July 26, 1942 while serving with the Royal
Canadian Air Force.
While training in England Lieutenant Ross was accidentally killed by a bullet fired from a rifle
during a military exercise.
